The Toledo Clinic’s Radiology Department is a full-service imaging provider and excels in three areas:
price, service, and quality
PRICE
The Toledo Clinic charge also includes contrast & the radiologist’s interpretation fee, which is typically an additional and separate charge for hospital billed services. Not all insurance plans are accepted and patient’s price may vary based on their individual insurance plan.
In an environment of ever-increasing out-of-pocket expenses and high deductible health plans, price is a factor. Why pay three times more for your imaging procedure?
SERVICE EXCELLENCE
- X-rays are performed on a walk-in basis. No appointment is necessary.
- In most instances, appointments for other imaging procedures are available within 1 to 3 days, depending on the precertification requirements of your insurance company.
- In addition to performing tests in a timely manner, the Radiologist’s report is available to your physician within 24 hours and the majority of reports are available the day of your test.

QUALITY
- The Toledo Clinic offers state-of-the-art imaging systems and is accredited by a number of prestigious professional organizations, something hospitals are not required to have.

TOLEDO CLINIC RADIOLOGY FEATURES
- Ultrasound – Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of internal organs and tissues. Ultrasound can help diagnose a wide range of medical conditions.
- X-ray – An X-ray produces images of the inside of the body, revealing bones, tissues, and organs. X-rays are done on a walk-in basis; no appointment is needed.
- Procedural X-rays Under Fluoroscopy – Fluoroscopy creates real-time, moving images of internal organs and structures, allowing healthcare providers to observe and guide procedures. Fluoroscopy is used in many types of examinations and procedures, such as barium X-rays, arthrograms (visualization of a joint or joints), and lumbar punctures.
- CT scan – A CT scan uses X-rays to take multiple images from different angles around the body, revealing nearly every body part in thin slices. It’s like taking a loaf of bread and looking at each slice in 3-D.
- MRI – An MRI uses a powerful magnet and radio waves to create images of the body’s internal structures. It requires very little preparation and produces detailed 3-D images without radiation.
- PET/CT scan – A PET/CT scan is a highly sensitive and detailed procedure used to detect early signs of cancer, heart disease, and brain disorders.
- Nuclear Medicine – Nuclear Medicine is a specialized area of radiology that uses minimal amounts of radioactive materials, or radiopharmaceuticals, to examine organ function and structure.
- Mammogram – 3D Mammography is advanced imaging that produces high-quality pictures of the breast with low-dose X-rays. It is also called digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) and is valuable for early breast cancer detection. The Toledo Clinic provides a private and comfortable setting.
- DEXA – A DEXA scan, also known as a bone density scan, is a low-dose x-ray that measures bone density and helps assess bone strength and thickness, often used to detect osteoporosis. A DEXA scan is painless, lasts roughly 15 minutes, and typically examines the hip and spine.
- DEXA Whole Body Composition – The DEXA Whole Body Composition assessment uses low-dose X-rays to measure bone density, fat mass, and lean mass (including muscle and bone) throughout the body. This helps identify health risks associated with excess fat, particularly visceral fat, and assess bone health.
